Peter Schickele at Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall Classical Recording Foundation 12th Annual Awards Ceremony


Pianist Laura Leon will be performing music of Peter Schickele at the Classical Recording Foundation's 12th Annual Awards Ceremony, at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 7:30pm. Her performances will feature solo piano music by Peter Schickele, in advance of the upcoming of the composer's solo piano and four-hand piano works.

Peter Schickele, himself, will be in attendance, and will be receiving the CRF's Composer of the Year award, presented by WNYC radio host John Schaefer. Mr. Schickele will also be performing in honor of the occasion, to be joined by Laura Leon at the piano for a performance of his beautiful four-hand work "Little Suite for Summer," composed when Mr. Schickele's son was 8 years old.

The Awards Ceremony evening will include performances by Hsin-Yun Huang and Sarah Rothenberg, Roman Rabonivich and Sophie Shao.
