The Shukan NY Seikatsu Japanese Newspaper includes Masha's Arigato in 2025 New Year's publication

Shukan NY Seikatsu, the weekly New York-based Japanese newspaper, included an article about "Masha's Arigato: Warsaw to Japan (1939-1941)" in their 2025 New Year's issue.

Written by Publisher Ryoichi Miura, the article states: ..."[the Jewish refugees] held 'visas for life,' the only thing that allowed then to go overseas during the War. They are grateful to Chiune Sugihara, who wrote handwritten visas for around 2,000 and the Japanese who helped them through Japan.

Nina, Karen and Laura collaborated on producing the original recording back in 2020, but recently completed the second version. Laura said: "We felt that it was important to expand the piece to convey our mother's history before she arrived in Japan. A Yiddish folk song and the Japanese song Sakura, which Masha loved, were blended; in this way, we expressed our thanks more deeply to Mr. Sugihara and the people of Japan."
